The Broodmares of Endeavor
All
of our horses are exceptionally well behaved and easy to work with, yet
they have great spirit and presence. Our broodmares have done an
outstanding job of producing the traits we desire most: temperament,
beauty and athletic ability with a sound mind and body.

Our
foundation broodmare, UVM Larissa is a black beauty with a regal
presence. She stops traffic when she in the pasture. As a mother, she
passes intelligence and a good, sound mind to all of her foals, as well
as pretty heads and strong athletic bodies.

As herd
matriarch, she takes responsibility for the safety of her
herd. When she discovered a break in the fence, she blocked it to
keep the herd away from the road and the dangers to be found there.
She is patient, loving and shares a special bond with her owner.
UVM Larissa earned a well deserved retirement at the age of
24. In total, she had 13 foals, four of them carry the Endeavor prefix.

UVM
Adrienne has the trot of her sire, UVM Promise--it will take your
breath away. She is a devoted
mother and passes on her sweet personality and loving nature. Yet, put
her in the arena and she still loves to show off.
Early in 2006, UVM Adrienne suffered a fractured skull, embedding a
piece of bone in her brain, in a trailer accident. Showing tremendous
courage and heart, she has recovered beautifully and is ready for
breeding. Her outstanding recovery has made her famous in the
veterinary
community as the subject of an important scientific paper.

Endeavor’s
First Addition
(UVM Abington x UVM Larissa)

The
first born on our farm, Endeavor's First Addition is quite lovely. She
is full of curiosity and has a great deal of spirit. She has that
beautiful UVM Promise trot with her dam's good common sense. With a
good, sound body, she is
inquisitive and has the look and conformation of the breed standard.

The
youngest and smallest horse in
Roger Kyle's Fear Management Clinic (former trainer for the Denver
Police Mounted Patrol), Endeavor's First Addition was the most fearless
and the unanimous star of that clinic. She accomplished feats that
other horses dared not try (which included sticking her nose in the
bubble machine, trying to catch a bubble). Well rounded with the
famous trot of her grandsire, UVM Promise, she is showing cowy
abilities--a perfect tribute to the versatility of the Morgan breed.
